In the golden Autumn of October, with suitable temperature and sunshine, it is the season when jujubes comes ripe. Looking around, you will find the hillsides and low areas on the 302 provincial roads are full of leafy and fruity jujube trees. Folks in Jiaxian County, Shaanxi Province take poles and baskets to make dates and enjoy the harvest. According to the company management institution and the actual work needs, the company organized a visit to Jiaxian County from October 14th to 16th.4 people, including representatives from the management, employees and one-on-one activity, visited Lijiawa Primary School and Yangjuanshan Primary School. This is the second visit to Jiaxian County.

On the morning of October 14th, the team left the company at 5:30 in the morning. Through Xi’an and Yulin,they took another two and a half hours of bus to get to the downtown of Jiaxian County. It was about 8 o’clock in the evening when they arrived.

In the early morning of October 15, led by Mr. Li, the principal of Lijiawa Primary Schoo, the team took a bus to Lijiawa Primary School. Bumping in the loess with the car and looking outside seeing the twisted road, short cave dwellings and vertical and horizontal gullies, it reminds them of the moon and the feeling of weightlessness. After about an hour's drive, they arrived at Lijiawa Primary School. The school is very small and the facilities are very simple. There are nearly 100 students in the school, ranging from the first grade to the sixth grade. Most of them are left-behind children, and their parents work in Yulin. Mr.Li said it’s not easy to undertake education due to poor local environment, remote geographical location of the school and large turnover of the teachers. Therefore,the quality of the school is far from satisfaction.

The school organized a simple while grand award ceremony, in which they awarded SYTECH Teaching Award, SYTECH Scholarship and One-on-one funding. In the discussion with teachers,parents and award-winning students, what they said most was thank you. Simple though their words were, they expressed their gratitude to SYTECH’s donation and education aid as well as their determination to work hard. After the discussion, accompanied by Mr. Li, the team visited the families of poor students who were funded by the company’s one-on-one activity. During the visit, we learned that most of them are single-parent families, left-behind children and widowed elderly people and their stories made us feel sad. After the visit, the team went to Yangjuanshan Primary School. The school is located in the village committee. There are two houses, one teacher and six students.Seeing the clever and lovely children, Plant Manager Mr. Yang Yu turned out to be a Chinese teacher and gave them classes. Hearing their tender while loud reading, everyone smiled happily.
